Project in Elsbethen, near Salzburg, Austria

Klicken Sie auf das Bild um es vergrößert anzuzeigen   Completed in 1998, this exclusive private dwelling with a pool was originally conceived by the customers as a modern, unique concept sporting a new, creative roof landscape. However, local officials preferred the more traditional roof design, the so-called “saddle roof” commonly seen around Elsbethen.

Our team arrived at a creative solution which maintained the traditional look of the community while displaying architectural innovation and expressing the individuality of the customer. A saddle roof serves as the main roof, which slopes down to the terrace. One side of the main saddle roof tapers down over a cone which covers the stairwell, creating a second style of roof present in this unique dwelling, called a pent roof. Another style of roof, the hipped roof, completes the picture, covering the garage and blending with the terrace above.
