Corporate Cooperation Creates Synergies and Improves Overall Performance.
From the beginning planning phases to the final handover of the keys, each individual member of the association represents the interests of the customer in dealing with regulatory officials and government departments which handle historical landmarks.
Renovating and refurbishing valuable, historical buildings demands considerably more experience and technical know-how than building new structures. For this reason, as the members of the association Hohen Salzburg attest, many owners of historical landmarks and buildings shy away from and delay the renovation of their properties. It is exactly in this arena that the Hohen Salzburg Association has earned its outstanding reputation.

“We want to make historical building renovation for our customers as simple, easy and inexpensive as possible. In this regards, we thoroughly apply all our know-how and extensive experience to achieve this,” explains Master Builder Markus Voglreiter, representing the builder’s association. “During the renovation process, it’s extremely important to maintain the delicate structures of historical buildings while sensibly applying new elements.”
As a member of the state subsidized Wood Cluster, which was created to further the competitiveness of craftsmen and rejuvenate interest in trades whose skills are slowly being lost to generations which are slowly dying out, the Hohen Salzburg Association enjoys solid support from the Salzburg Structural Improvement Fund, which supports innovative corporate cooperation. The goal of these subsidies is to increase the synergies created by cooperation of craftsmen and specialized experts in the application of their trade to the benefit of the Salzburg economy.
Combining Tradition with Modern Comfort
The main goal of the member companies of “Hohen Salzburg” is to bring life back to old, historical buildings and landmarks, thereby making the famous and historical inner city of Salzburg attractive and livable again for residents and visitors alike. This is achieved when the addition of modern structural elements, like an elevator for example, creates more comfort and livability while retaining the essential character of the historical structure. This aspect is evident in the first project undertaken by the team of master craftsmen and designers: a recent project in the upscale neighborhood of Parsch, Salzburg. “As keepers of the ancient arts and craftsmanship of centuries past, we see it as our duty to maintain our cultural inheritance and the older traditions while applying modern technologies and innovations,” says Markus Voglreiter.

Everlasting Craftsmanship from Floor to Ceiling
Expert craftsmanship is an essential ingredient of historical renovations - next to the technical planning and consultation services provided by the association of Hohen Salzburg. “Because of our special expertise and know-how in the areas of traditional wood-framed windows, carved wooden doors, traditional wood flooring, roofing and arched doorways and walls, we are able to fully restore historical structures to their original splendor,” says Markus Voglreiter. Tasks which cannot be completed by the association members are outsourced and closely managed and supervised by the association members, insuring total quality control.
